Welcome to St Radigund's

Welcome to St Radigund's a popular and business centred area of Dover comprising the town's only hospital, the Buckland Hospital, a vibrant newly built community centre: The Triangles Centre and two business parks catering to all your retail needs, the Poulton and Hollow Wood Business Parks catering for a wide range of Dover's employment prospects.

On this page find out information on our 'area' of Dover which straddles the Eastern boundary of the town, snaking up the Coombe Valley, a narrow valley caused by a former stream which merges into the River Dour. This stream now flows underground underneath Coombe Valley Road. The ward houses a Victorian workhouse, now the Buckland Hospital and also a raceway providing entertainment at many weekends, the Coombe Valley Raceway to be precise. The area is named after nearby St Radigund's Abbey which once belonged to the monks of St Martins Priory in Dover and is named after a Germanic (German) Princess called St Radegund.
