Where is Buckland?
Buckland is a suburb of Dover which was formerly a village of its own. It is conjoined to Dover and Whitfield. It can be found down the A2 to Whitfield Roundabout then follow signposts to 'Council Offices', continue passed this to Tesco's and doubleback. Then take first right signposted 'Archers Court School' down Melbourne Avenue. You are now in Buckland Valley (Estate). Continue through here, first left at rounabout, over the bridge and down Green Lane. You're now in Buckland, the former village part.
Other routes include:
A2 to Whitfield Avenue. Take junction for 'Dover North' down Whitfield Hill. Turn Left along London Rd signposted 'Dover'. Once reached the 'Welcome to Dover' sign, you are in Buckland.
A20 To York Street roundabout, turn left for Dover Town Centre. At next roundabout cross over (town centre) along Priory Road. When just passed the town hall (traffic lights) you are in the Charlton part of Buckland.
A258 - Take Connaught Road from by the Castle (first right after the Guston turning). At the bottom of this hill you are in the Barton area of Buckland.
B2011 - To bottom of Folkestone Road, take first left (Priory Road), just past the traffic lights and you're in the Charlton area of Buckland.
Continue up here to the junction with Bridge Street, you are now in Buckland proper.
Continue up this road, following signs for Buckland Hospital. Turn left just after the Sportsman pub (after the traffic lights by the Kingfisher pub) up Coombe Valley Road. You're now in St Radigund's.
